Apple Releases iTunes Version 12.13.09

From Control Panel

If you used the direct download link to download and install iTunes, then you can use this method to remove iTunes from your Windows PC. However, if you installed it from Microsoft Store, then you need to see the method given in the next section below.

1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run Command box.

2. Type in “appwiz.cpl” and press Enter to open the Programs and Features applet.

   

3. Right-click iTunes and click Uninstall.

   

4. If asked for confirmation, click Yes.

   

5. iTunes will now be removed from your computer.

   However, additional components may have been installed on your PC alongside iTunes if you used the direct download link, which includes the following:

   • Apple Software Update
   • Bonjour
   • Apple mobile support for iTunes

   If so, you might need to uninstall them individually using steps 2 & 3 above.

From Settings App

If you installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store, then you may not see it in the Programs and Features applet. Thus, you must use the given method below to remove it from your PC:

1. Press the Windows Key + i to open the Settings app.

2. Click Apps on the left and then click “Installed apps” on the right side.

   

3. Search for “iTunes” and then click on the ellipses (3 dots).

Closing words

Note that iTunes for macOS has not been updated since the release of macOS Catalina. This is because Apple has replaced iTunes with Apple Music. However, for Windows users, iTunes continues to be upgraded to include support, security patches, and new features with each iteration.
